WHO WE ARE                              

K-9s for Veterans is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing disabled veterans and dogs, one team at a time.  Mike and Pam Halley created K-9s for Veterans in October 2008.  Clients are disabled veterans and soldiers in the wounded warrior units of their respective branches of the service.  The disabilities can include balance issues, diabetes, seizures, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), PTSD (Post Traumatic Brain Injury) and many more.

WHAT WE DO

For many, normal medicine is not helping veterans live a full and satisfying life.  Service Dogs can help bridge the gap.  They help veterans overcome their disabilities by adding a dimension of confidence back into their lives that no amount of medicine can achieve. Dogs help by taking your mind off of your problem and refocusing on the the dog.  They help veterans get out of the house, first for exercise, and then because of increased self-confidence, the veterans rejoin society in positive ways.
